A passion for world travel eventually led me to a love of photography.  Over the last 35 years, my journeys have taken me to 40 countries.

Photographs communicate more than words.  They can capture a spirit, tell a person's story, show the splendor of ancient mountains or the beauty of a simple flower. I especially enjoy documenting life in authentic surroundings where cultural celebrations, peoples' faces or wildife in its natural habitat touch and move me.

After years of being an observant traveler, I realize that even with our differences, there still exists

Influenced by my Sicilian grandmother, I became a seamstress at an early age. During my travels, I started collecting fabrics - Japanese Kimono pieces, West African and Guatemalan weavings, French Silk, Italian cotton, India sari borders, Chinese embroidery and Indonesian batiks.  Recently, I started making jewelry bags and eyeglass carriers.   Take a look at the Sewn Goods page.
