A Common Thread
Influenced by my Sicilian grandmother, I became a seamstress at an early age. During my travels, I started collecting fabrics - Japanese Kimono, West African and Guatemalan weavings, French Silk, Italian cotton, India sari borders, Chinese embroidery and Indonesian batik. Recently, I started making jewelry bags and eyeglass carriers, with my grandmother's buttons and lace, on her sewing machine. Take a look at the World Fabrics page.
